Mount Olivet Homes' Auxiliary
The Mount Olivet Homes' Auxiliary was organized by Pastor Reuben K. Youngdahl, September 14, 1960, soon after Mount Olivet Home in south Minneapolis opened. Dedicated to enriching the lives of children, residents and people with developmental and other disabilities, Auxiliary members volunteer their time and demonstrate their love and support for the people served by Mount Olivet Rolling Acres, Mount Olivet Day Services, Mount Olivet Home and Mount Olivet Careview Home.
Over the years, the Mount Olivet Homes' Auxiliary has raised funds through annual events like the Fall Fest, Spring Garage Sale, specialty food sales and their newest event, initiated in 2006, the Summer Gala. In addition, they operate the Mount Olivet Careview Home gift shop in south Minneapolis. Annually, proceeds are equally divided among the four organizations. Throughout their 48-year history, the Mount Olivet Homes' Auxiliary has raised nearly $1 million!
